Currently, ASU does not offer any scholarships for being a part of the STUNT Devils. However, many of the athletes that participate in STUNT receive other scholarships (academic, etc).
We practice 3 days a week for about 9 hours total.
In college STUNT there are a total of 24 routines: 8 jumps & tumbling, 8 partner stunts, and 8 pyramids & tosses. We compete a minimum of 24 total routines in a game over 4 quarters of play.
STUNT is an All-Girl, NCAA emerging sport.
Yes, you have to be enrolled at ASU to be on the STUNT team. This can be complicated with online, in-person and hybrid options, so reach out if you're not sure!
STUNT athletes compete on 4 panels of dead mat.
In order to be a member of the Stunt Devils, you must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
This season we are attending 4 tournaments, not including the National Championship. One of the tournaments will be Duel with the Devils, hosted by us at Arizona State University. This varies each season and is typically finalized in Fall.
Our routines progress in skill level from routine 1 to 8. Skills vary from year to year. Currently, there is no minimum skill requirement for our team for stunting or tumbling, however, previous experience with stunting OR tumbling is highly recommended.
Athletes can expect to pay around $1,500 for season expenses like travel accommodations and coaches' pay, plus $400 for first-year gear/$100 for returner gear.Â
