"Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga"
National Space Day is celebrated in honor of the victorious landing of the Chandrayaan-3 lander on the lunar surface on August 23, 2023. This year's Space Day falls on the first anniversary of Chandrayaan-3's successful Moon landing makes it unique. The theme selected for this year's National Space Day is “Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga”. The notion of outer space attracts curiosity and creativity in both Indian students and residents. The Department of Space Science will be conducting extensive celebrations across the country. National Institute of Technology Meghalaya is organizing an event on August 23, 2024, as National Space Day, to highlight this expanding interest. This event, which will include lively astronomy outreach activities and expert talks, will explore the present and future state of the Indian space program. We are excited to have you join us in recognizing India's space accomplishments and discussing future endeavours.
