The all-sky selection is what distinguishes the approach of our team to select these unique laboratories for follow-up analyses. We began by combining both all-sky Planck sub-mm maps at very coarse, ~arcmin.-scale, angular resolution with slightly better angular resolution Herschel-SPIRE data. The combination of the all-sky WISE near-IR survey and the sub-mm selection helps to identify overdensities and / or strongly lensed dusty objects - some of which are intrinsically IR luminous and the brightest known systems (more than 100 trillion solar luminosities) .

In Harrington et al. 2016 we were able to use WISE color-selection to guide our initial selection criteria of a Planck-Herschel cross-match with objects greater than 100 mJy at 350 micron. In Berman et al. 2022 we further refined this criteria using updated and available Planck catologs along with the WISE criteria described in Yun et al. 2008.
