The Astrobiology Club is looking for new officers for the upcoming semester/ school years. The two positions are that of President and Vice President. Look below for the requirements of said positions:
Must be a student at San Diego State University (undergraduate or graduate student)
Preferably sophomore and up
Must be a STEM major
Preferably Astronomy/ Physics or Biology
Must have a good understanding of Astrobiology
Whether you've taken the course, studied it personally, or done research/ extracurriculars in the field
Must be able to delegate AND plan club meetings
Also includes being in contact with club advisor Dr. Welsh
Promote/ Communicate club meetings
Via social media, email, and discord
Attend Schwartz Astronomical Society Officer Meetings
This club is a subsection of SAS, which would make you a SAS officer
Coordinate a way to provide needs to club meetings
ex: pizzas, napkins, plates, etc
Add to resumé/ CV
Gain leadership experience
Become a Schwartz Astronomical Society (SAS) officer
Learn about Astrobiology
Engage with like-minded peers
