There are 8 planets in the Solar System, which are divided into two categories:
Inner Planets (Terrestrial planets):
Mercury: The closest planet to the Sun.
Venus: Similar in size to Earth but with extreme temperatures.
Earth: Our home, the only known planet with life.
Mars: Known as the "Red Planet," it has signs of past water.
Outer Planets (Gas Giants and Ice Giants):
Jupiter: The largest planet in the Solar System, a gas giant.
Saturn: Famous for its beautiful rings, also a gas giant.
Uranus: An ice giant with a tilted axis, making it rotate on its side.
Neptune: The farthest planet from the Sun, another ice giant
