I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Economics at Bocconi University, advised by Marta Prato, Nicola Pavoni and Jerome Adda.

I work at the intersection of applied macroeconomics, the economics of innovation, and finance. My research combines spatial models of innovation-led growth with heterogeneous firms with new microdata to study the geographic mobility of two increasingly important actors in the innovation economy, venture capital and high-growth startups, and its aggregate consequences.

In an ongoing project on venture capital mobility I explore how barriers to cross-region investment shape where entrepreneurs found innovative firms and how large those firms grow, which speaks to the innovation and growth effects of a new margin of financial integration in private capital markets.
In joint work on startup mobility, we study the aggregate consequences of young firms relocating toward deeper capital markets, quantifying what origin countries lose and which policies can help retain them. 

Before moving to Milan, I studied a BSc in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics at the University of Amsterdam, and a MSc in Macroeconomic Analysis at the Barcelona School of Economics, and worked for two years in the Forecasting and Policy Modelling Division of the European Central Bank.
