Hello ! I'm Astrid Massad and I'm currently a 3D character artist at ICON Creative Studio based in Vancouver, Canada.

With four years of experience in that field, I worked on projects like The Super Mario Bros movie, Disney Jr.'s Ariel or the upcoming movie Charlie the wonderdog.
Creating characters in 3D is an amazing art but I feel like the design step is where the story of the character takes form for the first time and that's what I want to delve into!

I had a formation at MoPA in France where I learned every steps of creating an animated film from story ideas to rendering, design included.
With my experience in 3D in different studios, I am used to study and work with designs before modeling or texturing them and I know what a modeler will need from a design.

Character design is the perfect balance between art and storytelling : How can I show this character's internal conflict that drives all of his action ?

I would love to answer that by designing characters for amazing animated projects!
