These terms apply to the Astral application and all related editions (“Application”), created by Astral Studios LLC (“Service Provider”). By installing or using the Application, you agree to the conditions described below. This document also includes the Privacy Policy for the Application.
The Application is provided as an ad-supported and/or in-app-purchase-supported service. All copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property rights belong to the Service Provider. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, translate, redistribute, or create derivative works based on the Application or any of its components.
The Service Provider may modify or update the Application at any time. If any fees are introduced, they will be clearly disclosed. You are responsible for securing your device and your access to the Application. Modifying your device operating system through methods such as jailbreaking or rooting may compromise security and may prevent the Application from functioning correctly. The Service Provider is not responsible for malfunction or data loss caused by device modifications.
Certain features require an active internet connection. The Service Provider is not responsible for functionality issues that result from limited connectivity, loss of wireless service, or exceeding data limits. Any charges incurred for mobile data usage, including roaming charges, remain your responsibility. If you are not the primary bill payer for the device, it is assumed you have the bill payer’s permission.
You are responsible for maintaining your device, including ensuring that it remains charged and operational. The Service Provider is not responsible if you are unable to use the Application due to device limitations, battery depletion, or failure to install required updates. While the Service Provider makes reasonable efforts to maintain reliability and accuracy, some information and functionality rely on third-party services, and uninterrupted functionality cannot be guaranteed. The Service Provider is not liable for losses that result from reliance on Application features or information.
If the Application is discontinued, your right to use it ends immediately and you must uninstall it.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Application collects, how it is collected, how it is used, where it is stored, and how users may request deletion of their data. This applies to all editions of Astral across all supported platforms. The Application does collect user data, and the details are described below.
The Application uses Microsoft Azure PlayFab to manage user accounts and cloud save functionality. When a user creates an account or logs in through PlayFab, the Application collects the email address provided by the user, a securely hashed password, a PlayFab User ID, and platform identifiers such as Meta/Oculus ID, Steam ID, Google Play ID, or Apple ID depending on the platform. This information is required to authenticate users, synchronize game progress, and provide cloud saving across devices.
The Application also collects and stores data related to gameplay. This includes world save data, character data, inventory, progress, and in-game settings. These details are processed through PlayFab to provide cloud syncing and cross-platform persistence.
When the Application is running, it automatically collects technical information such as device model, operating system version, VR headset type where applicable, IP address for routing, general analytics, performance information, crash logs, and diagnostic data. This information ensures compatibility, allows debugging, and improves performance.
If the user participates in online or multiplayer features, the Application processes information such as the user’s display name, matchmaking information, lobby or session data, and real-time networking data used to synchronize gameplay actions. Voice chat may be processed during live communication, but it is not recorded or stored.
If advertisements are enabled on the user’s platform, the Application uses Unity LevelPlay (IronSource), Unity Mediation, Unity Ads, and in some cases Google AdMob. These providers may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, and information relating to ad interactions. These providers operate under their own policies and do not provide personally identifying information to the Service Provider.
Data is collected directly from users when they create a PlayFab login, automatically by the Application during use, through platform services when launching the Application, by PlayFab when syncing game data, by Unity Services when using online features, and by ad providers when ads are shown.
Collected information is used only to operate the Application. This includes account creation, authentication, cloud saving, gameplay synchronization, online functionality, ad mediation, fraud prevention, stability improvement, crash resolution, analytics, and customer support. No collected data is sold or used for advertising outside of the Application.
All user data is stored securely through Microsoft Azure PlayFab, Unity Services (including Relay, Lobby, and Analytics), platform services such as Meta/Oculus, Google, Apple, and Steam, and ad mediation partners for ad-related processing. The Service Provider does not maintain separate private servers for storing user information.
Users may request deletion of their data at any time. This may include their PlayFab account, email address, cloud saves, world and character data, analytics information, and any data stored through third-party services on behalf of the Application. Users may request deletion by emailing astralstudiosdev@gmail.com or by submitting a request through the dedicated data-deletion page located at:

Users must specify their platform and provide either the email associated with their PlayFab login or another identifier such as their Meta/Oculus username or PlayFab ID. All deletion requests will be completed within thirty days.
The Application does not knowingly collect information from children below the minimum age required by the platform. Parental controls and age-based restrictions enforced by platform providers apply.
This Privacy Policy may be updated. Changes will be posted on this page, and continuing to use the Application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
