Assumption Athletic Association

The guiding principle of the Assumption Athletic Association is to ensure that every child is treated as we would want our own child treated, with encouragement, kindness and support.


Welcome to Assumption. We offer the following sports to both parishioners and non-parishioners who live in the parish boundary. Once registrations open all links to Team Sideline will be available here.


FALL SPORTS

Soccer (boys and girls) Pre k- 8th grade. Registration will open in May and close in July. The season starts with practices the first week of August with a 10 games season from September to early November. Practice will be once a week with games on the weekend.


Volleyball - (boys and girls) 3rd - 8th grade. Registration will open in May and close in July. The season starts with practices the first week of August with a 10 games season from September to early November. Practice will be once a week with games on the weekend.

Esports - (co-ed) 5th - 8th grade. Players will be on a 3 person team, and log on with their own counsels at home. Games are once a week, practices are optional. Players will play Rocket League against teams from other schools.

WINTER SPORTS

Basketball (boys and girls) 3rd -8th grade and high leagues are also an option. Registration will open in late September. The season starts with practices in December with a 10 game season starting in January and ending in mid March. Practice will be once a week with games on the weekend.

Chess (boys and girls) K-8th grade. Registration begins in September. Players will be scored as a team and as individual. The season starts in November and there are 4 invitationals. The highest ranked individuals and teams will play in a Championship in late February.


Spring Sports

Baseball / Softball pre-k - 8th. Registration opens in late January. The season starts in early April with practices with a 10 game season beginning late April / early May. Practices will be once a week with games on the weekend. Assumption does not have baseball fields so home games will be at Joachim and Ann for first grade and up.

Golf 3rd grade - 8th grade. Registration opens in late January. This is a great program for kids who are wanting to learn the game at a great cost. I would suggest visiting the St. Charles CYC Gold Website

All coaches in CYC must complete the following steps

  1. Protecting God’s Children Workshop -this class is mandatory for anyone dealing with children with the Archdiocese from teachers to volunteers. This program has been in affect for more than 10 years and the certification does not expire.

  2. Register on www.preventandprotectstl.org.

-Complete a Criminal Background Check through the Office of Child and Youth Protection.

- Complete Mandated Reporter training (short video on prevent and protect website)

-Complete Code of Conduct training (short video on prevent and protect website)

-Read and sign the Archdiocesan Code of Ethical Conduct online in your account.

  1. Take either Play Like a Champion Course or Coaching or Make a Positive Difference
