System Permissions Used & Purpose
To function as an assistive edge panel and quick controls utility, the app requests specific system permissions:
• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) Purpose: Allows the floating trigger button and side control panel to render over other applications. Privacy: Used solely for rendering the user interface locally. No screen contents are recorded or read.
• Notification Access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE) Purpose: Enables the optional Edge Glow feature to display edge lighting effects when new notifications arrive. Privacy: We only check the notification color accent and app icon to style the glow effect. Message text, contact names, and notification contents are never read, saved, or transmitted.
• Installed Applications (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) Purpose: Displays installed applications in the side panel grid so you can launch your favorite app shortcuts. Privacy: App lists are queried strictly on-device to build your local shortcut grid. Package lists never leave your device.
• System Settings Modification (WRITE_SETTINGS) Purpose: Allows you to adjust screen brightness and toggle auto-rotation directly from the quick control panel. Privacy: Used exclusively when you interact with brightness or rotation controls.
• Camera Flashlight Purpose: Toggles the device flashlight torch on/off from quick controls. Privacy: We do not request or use the camera feed; photo and video recording is never accessed.
• Foreground Service & Boot Execution Purpose: Keeps the edge trigger available while your screen is on and optionally restores the service after a device reboot. Privacy: Maintains local service availability without collecting background telemetry.
Third-Party Services & Analytics
Assistive Panel does not integrate third-party tracking, analytics (such as Firebase or Google Analytics), advertising networks, or data brokers.
Children's Privacy
Assistive Panel does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The application is a general utility that processes no personal data.
Security & Data Retention
All preferences and favorite shortcut configurations are saved locally on your device using standard Android sandboxed storage. Uninstalling the application completely removes all locally stored settings.
