Abstract/Event description
We invite Master, PhD students and early career researchers to participate in this satellite event for the study of states of consciousness. This event will focus on the wide umbrella of states of consciousness, including states induced endogenously (e.g. sleep, mind wandering, dream), by practice (e.g. meditation, hypnosis, breathwork, flow state), states induced by drugs (e.g. psychedelics, sedatives), by sensory stimulation (e.g. stroboscopic light, dream machine), as well as pathological states (e.g. disorders of consciousness, schizophrenia, neurodegenerative conditions).
This event aims to bring together enthusiasts and experts from diverse fields and foster collaborative and interdisciplinary networks among young researchers on states of consciousness.
While the talks and speed dating activity at this event are designed exclusively for ECRs, interested PIs are welcome to attend and engage in discussions with the presenters!
Event schedule
The event will consist of 8 selected 15-minute talks and a social activity dedicated to networking based on fast pairwise interactions (a.k.a. speed dating).
