If you're in Class 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 and passionate about space science, the National Astronomy Olympiad is a wonderful opportunity to challenge yourself, explore new experiences, and unravel the universe through science.
What is the National Astronomy Olympiad (NAO)?
The National Astronomy Olympiad (NAO) is an annual national-level competition in Nepal organized by the Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO). It is designed for high school students who are passionate about astronomy, astrophysics, and space science.
Who Can Participate?
Senior category: Students in Grade 11 or 12 (post SEE students if the age criteria is met)
Junior Category: Student in grade 8,9, and 10 per age requirements
(You don’t need to be an expert — just curious and motivated! )
How many stages are there in the olympiad?
Stage1: Provincial round (entrance exam)
Stage2: Second round
Stage3: Closed-camp (National examination)
