Thiruselvam Ganesan holds a Master of Business Administration Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance. He started his working career in the USA in 1991 with Global Dimension Inc. as a Research Associate assisting senior associates in providing business advice to SMEs in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
He came back to Malaysia in 1992, joining a Government-Linked Company (GLC) as the Corporate Planning Officer for eight years. There he rose through the ranks from Senior General Manager and was assigned to an associate company. In 2004, he decided to join a new budding company that dealt with livestock consultation and venture. In 2009, he was headhunted to head up the crisis that hit a non-profit private hospital.
He has spent 30 years in senior management positions, with his long experience in several industries ranging from investment holding, equity/stock investment, manufacturing, plantation, hotel, livestock, and hospital management.
His moral strength is people management and crisis management. His ability to manage people from different age groups and make decisions helped him emerge as a leader from such a young age and be successful in his career life. These skills were developed while managing many problematic companies during his career. One that stands out was restructuring the loss-making business of the GLC into profit-making businesses and building a new setup into an established government supplier within two years of complex operations. His negotiation skills undoubtedly deserve recognition for negotiating an agreement with banks that secured multi-million ringgit in financing facilities and successfully turned around a crisis-hit hospital by rebranding within two years.

His longest and most prominent role in hospital management was as the General Manager of NSCMH Medical Centre one of the oldest hospitals in Malaysia from 2012 to 2014. His experience in the healthcare industry has given him an edge when it comes to solving problems. He restructured hospital operations to progressively eliminate organizational errors, recruited new specialists, and liaised with MOH (Ministry of Health); CKAPS, and UKAPS to resolve matters related to the private hospital’s licensing and to ensure the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 [Act 586] is fully abided. From 2015 onward his working experience in the healthcare industry continues as Senior Manager at MAA Cardiac Diagnostic Center and currently, he is responsible for establishing several new private hospitals.
Mr. Thiruselvam presently serves as the owner of a healthcare consultancy firm, specializing in strategic medical planning, and hospital management and providing expert guidance on healthcare investment.
