THE PAVING PROCESS

1.  Our crew will arrive at your home and remove the existing pavement (if applicable).

2.  We then correct any grading issues (bring gravel if needed) and prepare the site to begin asphalt installation.

3.  This is a great opportunity to assess and correct any issues related to grading or drainage so that your new driveway will enjoy a long lifespan.

ASPHALT PAVING

Asphalt is an ideal material for driveways and parking lots because it is durable and easy to maintain. Paving your driveway or residential asphalt installs with asphalt is a great way to make your home look more aesthetically pleasing while also adding value to your property. Unlike other paving materials, asphalt is completely recyclable. It also provides a smooth surface for driving, walking, or playing. If you want to install asphalt for your home or residence’s driveway, it is important that you get a professional installation team.

Asphalt overlay is a layer (2-3 inches) of new asphalt applied over the existing base layer of asphalt on a driveway and is not an alternative to repaving but it can extend the life of your paved surfaces if the base of your pavement is still in good shape.

There are several signs that indicate it’s time for reparative action.  Some of these signs include: spider cracks, uneven pavement surface, and pot holes. An overlay is going to provide smoother, more consistent results than just sealing, crack repair and filling in potholes. An asphalt overlay will result in a more aesthetically attractive appearance and fix underlying issues.

SEALCOATING

When you install a new parking lot or driveway, you need to be sure it is going to look good and function well for many years to come. One way to extend the life of your asphalt surface is by sealcoating.  Due to weather changes and heavy use over time, asphalt can become damaged.

Factors that can damage a driveway include:

Once serious damage occurs, the asphalt will need to be replaced completely, costing you significantly. Sealcoating can help prevent these types of problems before they ever begin. Sealcoating protects your pavement by sealing in the sands at the surface to add a layer of wear by creating a buffer against the elements.  This protects your pavement from water that can work its way into the sub-grade, damaging the structural integrity of your surface.

THE SEALCOATING PROCESS

We use Seal Master Polymer Modified MasterSeal,  commonly known as (PMM), a high quality reinforced asphalt emulsion sealer.

1. Edge the driveway to ensure all asphalt is exposed. The entire pavement is cleaned of accumulated dirt, dust, and debris. A good sealcoat job requires a clean surface.

2. The crew performs minor repairs, like filling potholes and cracks.

3. Sealer is applied

We recommend seal coating every 30-36 months.
