As the 23rd update to the latest game in the Asphalt series, motorcycles have appeared and are coming in with a vengeance. The last time motorcycles were seen was in a game six years ago, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. In addition, the app logo is the first of its kind for Asphalt 8, and is the first to feature TWO vehicles together.
Motorcycles are lighter and faster, but they are also easier to wreck. Just simply tapping a wall can cause you to wreck. Some cars can also wreck you and run you over. Even the AIs can. Bikes also have a tendency to glitch and suddenly steer a certain way after finding a small hole in the ground, and sometimes you can actually lose control of your bike if you land on the ground correctly while executing flat spins. If you look at my video for the 50 Subscriber Special (click here to watch), you'll see some fails and accidents, and you'll see what I mean with glitches.
The Focus Meter is very similar to how the nitro bar works. But it doesn't work the same way. Doing tricks is an easy way to gain large amounts of Charged Nitro without going too far. Just using Perfect Nitro fills it slightly over time. You only get one tank of Charged Nitro, and it can be activated only when its full. If you have to drift and still have nitro left, you can still use it until it is depleted. Wheelies are performed when you are driving straight, and you tap the highlighted section on the Focus Meter. The bike will do a wheelie, and will continue until you turn sharply, hit something, or a minor bump in the road knocks the bike out of balance.
If you jump off a ledge or a ramp, sometimes, you'll see this bar come up on the left side of the bike. It looks partially like a tachometer or speedometer. There are three levels: Quick Stunt, Mid Stunt, and Apex Stunt. The top is Apex, and the lowest, Quick. Each have a set of tricks such as a Angel Wing, Special Flip, and Stalefish, and are set to different sections of the trick meter. The white zone is the Perfect zone. The purple zone is the average zone. And if you tap in the black, you'll get a Poor. You can fill the trick meter with just one trick, hit the Apex Trick perfectly, and complete 100% of the tricks' movement, and you'll be rewarded a charged bar.
