CALL FOR PAPERS
We are pleased to announce the call for papers for the 4th Annual Southern PhD Economics Conference (ASPEC) which will be held on 21 June 2024. The PhD conference is supported by the economics departments and schools of nine universities:

The conference committee is accepting papers from PhD students and postdocs on any topic that falls within the discipline of economics. This will be a two day conference and will be held in person at Oxford Brookes University. Consideration will be given to those who can present their work in person.
Submit your extended abstracts or full papers to: aspec2024@gmail.com. The deadline of submission is 17th May 2024 and decisions will be communicated on 24th May 2024.
Keynote Speakers
Professor of Economics
Professor Zauner is a microeconomist with research and teaching interests in industrial economics, regulation, game theory, behavioural and experimental economics. After an MA at the University of Vienna, he received his MA, MPhil and PhD in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
He is an Editor of the Bulletin of Economic Research. His economic comments have received coverage on MSN News, Agence France Press, Yahoo! News Hong Kong, Yahoo! News Taiwan and others.

Professor of Economics
Keith Pilbeam is a Professor of International Economics and Finance at City, University of London.
He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Finance and Economics (Wiley) which has an Association of Business Schools 3* ranking.
He obtained his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence and has worked for NatWest Bank and the Royal Bank of Scotland. He has also done extensive consultancy work for a number of City financial institutions.
He is President of the European Economics and Finance Society (www.eefs-eu.org).
He is Associate Editor of Economic Modelling (Elsevier) and former Co-Editor of the Journal of Economic Asymmetries (Elsevier).

Conference Registration Fee
The conference fee is £30 and should be paid by deadline May 30th , 2024. It
covers access to all sessions, buffet lunches, conference coffee breaks and
conference material. Conference fees will not cover the participation in the
voluntary dinner planned on the 21 of June.
