Program Overview
MSU Law's Academic Success Program provides support to students as they develop the skills necessary to become both academically and professionally successful.
Sometimes skills-building happens in a group setting, and sometimes in one-on-one consultations. No matter what style of learning you prefer, we have resources that can help.
Worrying over rumors about the rigors of law school? Wondering how to succeed on high-stakes exams? Want to start reading now to prepare for your 1L year? The Academic Success Program is here to ease your anxiety!
Please contact Assistant Dean Pritchard for answers to your pre-law school questions.
About me
Hello!
My name is Goldie Pritchard, that is my real given name! I have lived in several African countries, change my hair often, and love working with students. I am a West Coaster turned Midwesterner with eclectic interests.
Was told I would be a great Academic Support Educator but rejected that idea and for over 10 years now, Academic Success is my career. Never say never!
I help law students and law graduates achieve the dreams and aspirations that brought them to law school by humanizing and tailoring the law school experience to suit everyone's unique being. I support and guide law students with the academic and sometimes the non-academic skills necessary for individual law school success. I also support and guide law graduates with the steps necessary for success on the bar exam.
My ultimate goal is always to help each individual adjust their learning experiences to cater to the way they learn so they can become independent and self-regulated learners but also remember the "why law school" by using ASP pedagogy and learning theory.
Let's live our purpose, impact lives , and do what we came here to do! I am excited to meet you all.
