Established in 2024, It is a community for the faculty and students of Islamic University, Kushtia-7003, Bangladesh who are interested in research and innovations related to microbiology and related sciences. The establishment of an ASM Student Chapter at Islamic University aims to foster a vibrant community dedicated to advancing the microbial sciences. We envision the chapter as a hub for students to engage in scholarly activities, including but not limited to, organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences, participating in research projects, and networking with professionals in the field of microbiology and related disciplines. With over 160 general members, our chapter is committed to advancing the mission of the American Society for Microbiology within our university and the broader community.
Under the esteemed guidance of ASM country ambassador to Bangladesh as well as Faculty Advisor Professor Dr. Mohammad Minnatul Karim, and through the democratic election process, we have successfully established our chapter and elected an executive committee to lead our activities.
