The Smarter Helmet

The problem with bike helmets today is that they are too large to carry, uncomfortable, and do not look appealing, which makes people not want to wear them. We must design a helmet that can fit heads of all sizes while being able to compact into something much smaller. The main obstacles that impede us from doing this are making sure that the helmet is safe for users as well as appealing to the eye.

We created a folding helmet that is designed to target bike riders ages 16 - 26 who commute to school or work. Special attention has been put into making the helmet appealing to the eye while still maintaining a high degree of saftey and functionality.
