To find a nearest GLOSS of an ASL sign, identify as many parameters as possible:
Handshape
Orientation (of the palms)
Location
Movement
Non-Manual Marker
Other fields
Most words are based off citation form. Some, if observed as such in my personal experience, will be surface form.
Never assume this produces the right answer. This is a personal tool developed for my personal use and I am merely sharing it publicly. Its your own responsibility to study and verify.
