Welcome to Math Master ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, and safeguarded when you download, install, and use our mobile application Math Master on Google Play.

By installing and using Math Master, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

A. Personal Information (PII)

Math Master does NOT collect, request, store, or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your real name, email address, physical address, phone number, contacts, or financial details. No user account registration or login is required to use the application.

B. Local Educational Progress Data

All user performance data—including quiz scores, mistake vault records, custom quiz templates, student profiles, streak counters, ELO ratings, and app preferences—is saved 100% locally on your device using an encrypted local SQLite (Room) database. This data never leaves your device and is not synced to external servers or cloud services.

C. Advertising & Device Identifiers (Google AdMob)

To keep Math Master free to play and learn, we integrate the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob) operated by Google LLC. AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personal technical data from your device, including:

• Google Advertising ID (AAID): A unique, user-resettable advertising identifier provided by the Android OS.

• IP Address & Coarse Location: Approximate location at country, state, or city level for ad targeting and regional compliance.

• Device Characteristics: Mobile phone/tablet model, operating system version, system language, battery status, mobile network state, and screen resolution.

• Ad Interaction Data: Information on ad views, taps, impressions, and ad performance metrics used to prevent fraud and limit ad repetitions (frequency capping).

3. How We Use Information

We and our third-party advertising partner (Google AdMob) use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

1. Core App Functionality: To record learning progress, track math accuracy, generate custom quizzes, and customize in-app visual themes locally.

2. Ad Serving & Fraud Prevention: To deliver banner, interstitial, or rewarded video ads; ensure proper ad rendering; prevent fraudulent activity or invalid clicks; and enforce frequency capping.

3. Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable legal obligations and Google Play Developer Program Policies.

4. Third-Party Advertising & Partner Services (Google AdMob)

Math Master uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google may use cookies, device identifiers, and web beacons to serve ads based on prior app visits or interests.

5. Children's Privacy & Family Safety (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

Math Master is designed as a family-friendly educational application suitable for students of all ages, including children under 13.

• COPPA Compliance (United States): We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

• Child-Directed Ad Configuration: For child users, the Google Mobile Ads SDK is set to treat ad requests as child-directed (TAG_FOR_CHILD_DIRECTED_TREATMENT_TRUE). AdMob serves non-personalized, contextual advertisements only, avoiding tracking or interest-based profiling for children.

• GDPR Compliance (European Economic Area): Users under the age of 16 in the EEA receive non-personalized ads, and no personal behavioral tracking is conducted without appropriate legal consent mechanisms.

6. App System Permissions

Math Master requests only the minimum Android permissions necessary to function:

7. User Data Rights & Data Erasure

In full compliance with Google Play Console User Data Policies:

1. Instant Local Data Erasure: You can clear all saved scores, mistake history, and user settings at any time by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Compliance in the app and tapping "Reset All Local App Data". Uninstalling the app also completely removes all local data.

2. Opting Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or opt out of personalized interest-based ads on your Android device at any time:

   • Go to Settings > Google > Ads.

   • Tap Reset advertising ID or enable Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization.

8. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your information. Because all personal learning data resides locally in your device's isolated application sandbox, it is protected by the native security mechanisms of the Android operating system. Communications with Google AdMob use industry-standard HTTPS encryption.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app features or legal policies. Any updates will be posted directly within the app under the Privacy Policy section with a revised "Last Updated" date.
