My Success Story

• Supported R&D team to launch new product "Universal Tinters", using Larapal A81 that can be applied across several resin families ranging from acrylic, alkyd, polyester and epoxy resin, for general industrial application

• Successful in technically commercializing improved coating solutions for 2 Sony Ericson hand-phone models, and one Siemens hand-phone model.

• Supported coating product transfer and application from China and USA for PPG global accounts such as Dell, Motorola, Flextronics when these accounts migrated to Malaysia for production

• Managed the technology transfer of automotive OEM accounts (Nissan and Proton) for DC (now Mercedes)

• Led the technical transfers of Dell and Sony Ericsson consumer electronics product coating applications from PPG China to PPG Malaysia.

• Trialed and commercialized new coating products to support regional sales:

1. Secured 70% market share at Boon Siew Honda Malaysia account o Secured 5 color supplies to Honda Motorcycle Philippine account
2. Secured 50% supplies to Piaggio
3. Secured 15% market share at Honda Vietnam account.
4. Secure 3 major colors and 100% conductive primer supply for 3 new lines in Honda Indonesia

• Developed and improved conductive primer specifically for Electrostatic and Bell applications for Honda account.

1. This new primer subsequently was introduced by Honda to their India, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia motorcycle plant for adoption.

• Mentoring Senior Chemist to successfully transfer and commercialize coatings product for CAT, Finitro ( printing ink), and also developing a new generation of Chrome Silver, universal primer for multiple plastic substrates.

• Working with PPG Korea Industrial Team, assist PPG VN Hanoi Branch to pass Samsung Audit in 2016.

• Development – developed a new range of products, stoving acrylic and polyester melamine for application on consumer products.

• Develop in-house used Apps that allow accessing of data on the move. Eg warehouse inventory, sales order, and lab work request.
