In 1994, I completed my first mini "Concept" album entitled I HAVE DREAMS which basically told the story of ELAINE, a girl who wanted to escape her humdrum Canada for a more exciting life in France .
After performing with the BYTOWN CATS in Ottawa, a band member told me about the Ontario Pop contest. Amazingly, within two years I auditioned for it and became a contestant. Not only that, but I won the "Auteur/ Compositeur/Interprete" (Singer / Songwriter) prize in 1996 for the songs HELENE (ELAINE) and ATTENDRISSEMENT (Sweet Tenderness)
Just after winning the Ontario Pop concert, I won a Bravofact for my Dear Reader video. All this without an agent, or family to support me and share my successes. Thus, I felt lonely and decided to give it all up to create a new family of my own....
Ultimately, creating a family is my greatest achievement, but that love of singing and performing never really left me, it just took shapes in different forms: singing for women, for retirement homes, and even a corporate event with my Gypsyflame Showband. Sadly, a SINGER MUST DIE when there are too many forces against her...namely apathy, censorship and yes, even anti-semitism!
