ASIAN MENTORING COMMITTEE
Founded in 2010, the Asian Mentoring Committee (AMC) is an affinity group of Asian and Pacific Islander volunteers who support Asian Littles in NYC and the New American Program (NAP).
The New American Program at Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC is a specialized mentoring initiative designed to support 1st generation youth from immigrant families by matching them with caring and supportive mentors who often share cultural identities with their Littles.
NAP specifically addresses the unique challenges these youth may face, such as navigating cultural norms, languages, and customs that are different from their home countries.
