The ongoing research work at Indian Institute of Science includes fabrication and characterization of organic field-effect transistors. The fabrication part comprises of solution processing of semiconducting polymers, lithography and physical vapour deposition for electrode deposition. Heavy focus is given to the optimization of the gate dielectric. Subsequently, the charge transport studies of a newly developed transistor system becomes important. The end goal is to fabricate a template for environmental sensing.
In the Master's dissertation, impact of various processing condition on the performance of a bottom-contact device was studied. The same work was later published in Journal of Applied Physics.
