Anchoring was always something that came easy to me. In 2019, when I began EOT, I walked in and happened to be naturally good at anchoring. However, I look at myself then and always reflect on how well I have developed my skills. I taught our new cast members how to further develop their voice and the biggest thing I emphasized was that anchoring is like "a different persona you portray on camera". The better you get at it, the easier it gets to slip in and out of that persona.
I got this award when I was still in 9th Grade, and although I felt a great amount of pride in myself, I knew I could do better and I continued working as hard as I could to keep improving myself.
I was a finalist again the following year after I returned from the COVID-19 pandemic and I still felt the same sense of pride. I also felt like I was able to celebrate the achievement as I thought I had reached a great level in my anchoring career.
