Sai Ashraya Chegu has been learning Carnatic music from the age of 8 first under the tutelage of Guru Sri. Prakash Rao, Guru Smt. Bhavani Prakash, Guru Sri Ananth Rayar, and later on under Guru Smt. Anupama Sathyababu. Ashraya has performed in several Carnatic individual and group programs. She received a gold medal in the iCMDA online international competition. Throughout her years in school, she has been an avid saxophone player participating in wind ensemble, jazz band, and marching band. She has also participated in several Central Jersey Music Educators Ensemble concerts and school/township concerts. Ashraya also enjoys playing manjeera which she picked up at the weekly Sai Center bhajans.
Outside of music, Ashraya is a passionate swimmer representing her school team as well as working as a swim instructor. She regularly participates in distributing supplies for the needy and doing crafts with seniors at a nursing home as part of community service. Ashraya was also instrumental in advocating for environmental equality and education within her school community. She has been a keen student of Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas program from an early age.
She is attending Virginia Tech in the fall majoring in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
Sri. Phanindra Bhaskara is a disciple of Vid. Sri. H. S. Sudhindra. Sri. Phanindra started his Mridangam journey at the age of 9 and has been performing for the past 22 years. He is an All India Radio 'A' Grade artist and also a recipient of the CCRT scholarship provided by the Central Government of India. He has performed in various concerts and sabhas in India and abroad.
He has also accompanied several young and senior musicians for many years in various countries. He resides in Bengaluru and is an IT professional.
Sri. Vishwajith Mattur is a professional violin artist who started learning violin from Vid. Sri. Hosahalli K Subbarao (a direct disciple of Vid. Sri Lagudi G Jayaraman) at the tender age of 9. He started giving concerts at the age of 15. At present, he continues to learn under Vid. Sri. Hosahalli V Raghuram who belongs to the Lalgudi School Bani.
He has travelled widely and has given violin concerts and accompanied young and senior musicians for the past 15 years in India and various other countries. At the same time, he also mentors young aspiring violin students. He is an engineer by profession.
