In honour of Karthika, the day of Amma’s birth star, a special puja is held in Amritapuri. In the same spirit, a special satsang will be held at Amma's Ashram in Melbourne.

Amma’s Ashram Melbourne

A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon's position at the time of birth. The moon returns to this spot in the heavens, approximately every 28 days. Karthika is the Nakshatra - star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma's birth.

On this occasion, a special puja is performed in the original little temple at the ashram in Amritapuri. The ashram is usually decorated more beautifully than ever and an atmosphere of celebration and festivity fills the air.

In the same spirit, let us celebrate Amma's Birth star with a special satsang. All are welcome.
