Traditionally, in composite fiber layup processes, stencil-cutting or laser-cutting methods are used to achieve desired ply-angles. However, these methods are manual, prone to errors, and result in fiber wastage. They are also time-consuming and can lead to fraying of fibers.
Our project introduces an apparatus for precise ply-angle control, applicable to various fiber types. This apparatus simplifies the layup process, reduces human effort, and minimizes errors. It offers an efficient solution for achieving accurate ply-angles, replacing labor-intensive traditional methods.
