Overall, I was able to accomplish many ISTE standards throughout this semester. My blogs go more into detail of my experiences and how I was able to achieve these standards. Throughout my ISTE Computational Thinking journey it has shown me that technology and coding is very useful in the classroom. I now have tools that I can incorporate in my future classroom to teach technology but also use technology to teach within different criteria.
My favorite experiences were working with the WeDo 2.0 Lego lab and with the ECDC students at the iCreate Lab. I was able to complete several standards in the two experiences including 2c (leader) and 5c (facilitator). This experience showed me that we can teach and use technology in several ways to learn. Here students were able to learn to code but also learn a bit recycling.
In the future, I hope to use what I have learned in IDET 4300 and apply it in my future classroom. The top thing that I will use is the future is the LEGO's. I can make lessons that revolve around using technology and coding to make the LEGO's do things.
