A. Taylor Transcript.pdfHello my name is Ashlyn Taylor. I currently attend Greenwood High School in Millerstown, Pa. I am in the Class of 2023. I am a starting varsity midfielder/inner. I started my indoor experience with the PA Mavericks in 4th grade. I have been a member of the Central Penn Field Hockey club playing both indoor and outdoor since 6th grade. I want to continue playing during my college years. I love the sport and the competitive atmosphere. I also participate in Track and Field, competing in sprinting events. I previously played softball for several years as well.
Growing up, I spent 11 years strengthening my legs and mind taking ballet classes. I found my true love to be field hockey and decided to dedicate more time to my club field hockey team, therefore, I needed to end my time with dance training and softball. At this time, I am taking two dual enrollment classes at my high school and have been an honor roll student during my entire high school career. I completed a dual enrollment class my freshman year, as well, and plan on taking more classes in the future. In school, I am the secretary of our Future Business Leaders of America Club (FBLA), a member of the Greenwood Athletic Association, and am a Four Diamond Mini Thon volunteer. As a young middle school student, I was the manager of our High School Field Hockey team and was responsible for keeping the score book and working with the goalie during warm ups. Our team won the state championship while I was manager which was so exciting! At Greenwood, our team is like a second family. Many of my closest friends are teammates of mine. I am looking for a college team that has the same type of close relationships knowing we have each others back like how my three older brothers have always had my back.
