I have been a research assistant for AOP since December 2018. This research is supervised by PhD candidate, Talia Waltzer and Associate Professor, Audun Dahl. In AOP, we examine students' and instructors' moral decision-making in everyday contexts. This includes understanding causes of student cheating and ways of promoting academic integrity and learning.
Roles: collecting and managing sensitive data, reviewing relevant literature, creating and adjusting coding schemes, creating spreadsheets, coding qualitative data, transcribing audios, organizing databases, writing academic papers, presenting in academic conferences, leading discussion in lab meetings
I am currently an organizer for an interdisciplinary undergraduate research symposium at UCSC. In the Fall of 2019, we had students from UCSC and other local schools present their research either as an oral presentation or poster presentation. We are currently transitioning into the student organization Students Trying to Advance Research Together (START) and preparing materials for SURU 2020. To learn more about SURU click here!
