Brief Description : Analysis of the impact of floods on roads and surrounding area nearby river thereby estimating the regions of submergence in GIS due to floods of 50 year return period, involving various data collection such as rainfall data, elevation data, types of soil in the region, average slope of the region, various ephemeral and perennial streams in the region, past casualties, road connectivity, critical distance from the rivers etc, and to analyze and interpretation the data using standard technical specifications in estimation of the region of submergence during floods. Further from the results obtained the objective was to propose the design of roads to work efficiently during floods with a provision of waterway beneath the road for the storm water to recede from the watershed as per IRC and CWC recommendations.
Review of colour constancy techniques in digital image processing in which change in behavior of image study of study area is observed when exposed to different radiations within the visible spectrum.
Objective was preparation of High Strength Concrete (M 70) by reducing the water cement ratio to .25 - .29 using superplasticizers while maintaining workability of minimum slump value of 150 mm.
