Current Projects

Inferring user experience in cellular networks

We aim to infer user Quality of Experience (QoE) from network level Quality of Service (QoS) metrics in AT&T cellular network. This includes mining, understanding, and analyzing network collected data generated by 4G/5G Core, RAN, and other passive or active monitoring systems deployed within AT&T's network. The resulting analysis has broad implications on customer care, CAPEX, and network planning.

Optimizing portable generator dispatch

This research project is aimed at optimizing the algorithm used to dispatch portable generator to cell sites impacted by power outages. We aim to use features such as outage duration, RAN congestion, and user experience to develop machine-learning based algorithms to dispatch portable generators in case of power outages.
