Why Documentation is Required?
ToTo answer this question I would like to quote a statement of Julian Barnes from The Sense of Ending…
"How often do we tell our own life story? How often do we adjust, embellish, make sly cuts? And the longer life goes on, the fewer are those around to challenge our account, to remind us that our life is not our life, merely the story we have told about our life. Told to others, but—mainly—to ourselves."
It is a basic human tendency that they remember the things according to their experience. So, Everyone has their different History and different Memory. And documenting those memories will help in future to remember factual memories instead of illusionary truths which we have created for ourselves.
