Road Runners is an enrichment program for 2nd through 5th grade students who want to better their running abilities and overall physical fitness. The program is not only designed to teach students important running skills, but also to work on conditioning which is necessary for any sport or athletic activity.
Requirements to be met….
Maintain daily classroom responsibilities and behavior (This is a non-negotiable)
Run in the Bear Run. It is the Arbor Station road race and is mandatory for all Road Runners.
Attend all Road Runners practices. Each student is allowed one missed practice.
Maintain a positive attitude and be ready to work hard to get BETTER.
How do I sign up?
Forms will become available August 21. An electronic copy will be posted here on the RR website and all students in 2nd through 5th grade will receive a paper copy on August 21.
Rolling registration will open on August 21 and will be open until all 80 spots are filled (these spots will be filled in under 24 hours)
Dues are $30.00 for Road Runners this year (this cost includes membership fees and an Arbor Station Road Runners dryfit jersey). For previous Road Runners who have a Road Runners jersey, the dues are only $15.00. Every Road Runner must have a jersey. This jersey will be worn for all Road Runners practices and all road races.
Other Important Info…
Practices will be every Wednesday until 3:40 beginning September 18.
We will take a break from practicing during the colder months (December-February) and will resume in March.
There are a limited number of spots available, so when registration opens on August 21, get the paperwork and club dues turned in quickly.
You are not a Road Runners member until you receive your Road Runner confirmation letter from me. You must be registered and paid to be accepted.
