Participation Guidelines
The Presentation
Each team will get 10 minutes to present their project to the panel of judges followed by 5 minutes for questions.
A 36"x48" tri-fold project display board maybe used for assistance.
Use clear and concise language to explain your research question, methodology, results, and conclusion.
Organize the presentation into sections, including introduction/problem definition, methods, results/benefits, discussion, and references.
Cite all sources used in the research, including any relevant literature or data.
Use figures, tables, and graphs to effectively communicate your results and findings.
Ensure that the presentation is visually appealing and easy to follow.
Practice your presentation to ensure that you are able to effectively convey your information within the given time. Be prepared to answer questions from the audience and judges during this time too.
Judging Criteria
Scientific merit: Quality and originality of the research, including the hypothesis, methodology, and results.
Clarity and conciseness: Clarity and conciseness of the presentation, including the use of language, visual aids, and overall organization.
Relevance: Relevance of the research to the field of study and its potential impact.
Presentation skills: Ability to effectively communicate the research and answer questions from the audience and judges.
Visual appeal: Overall appearance and visual appeal of the poster, including the use of color, font, and graphics.
Attention to detail: Attention to detail in the poster, including the accuracy of information, proper citation of sources, and adherence to the required format.
Safety Guidelines
Research the engineering concept thoroughly to understand any dangers involved in your demonstrations.
You cannot use (i) human blood / body fluids, (ii) animals, (iii) live ammunition, firearms, or explosives, (iv) poisonous plants, or (v) radioactive material.
Parts of the body are not to be placed in danger. Do not directly view the sun, infrared, or ultraviolet sources.
Do not taste any non-food substance or food substance that has been subjected to possible contamination.
Dress safely for your presentation (e.g., gloves, eye protection, apron, ear protection, safety shield, etc., if required).
No hazardous materials are allowed.
Comply with all local fire & safety rules and regulations. Use caution when heating all forms of matter; always have a fire extinguisher available.
Thoroughly check all motors to make sure all parts are sturdy and that safety nuts are securely fastened.
Always obtain the necessary permits prior to conducting your demonstration.
Always practice your demonstration before exhibiting.

Participation Consent and Safety Acknowledgement
Participants will be required to follow ASEI rules and guidelines at all times during the event. Any information obtained in connection with this event will remain confidential and will not be disclosed without your permission. Participants’ submissions will not be linked to their name or your name in any written or verbal report of this exhibition.
