Secretariat Room: The Secretariat room is opened from 07.30 – 21.00 daily during 04 –08 September 2022.
Dress Code: The dress code for the meetings is formal attire. However, smart casual could be applied for the visit to Koh Ker.
Currency: Cambodia’s currency is Riel (៛). Exchange rate: 4,100៛ ≈ 1 USD. However, USD and credit cards are widely accepted, meaning there is no need to convert currencey into riels.
Climate: Average temperature in Siem Reap at this time of year ranges from 25Co to 35Co.
Electricity Supply: The standard voltage is 220V the and frequency 50Hz. Most electrical sockets are Type A, C and G.
By plane
Attendees can fly into the Siem Reap International Airport, located 15 minutes from the conference venue.
From Phnom Penh
Attendees can reach Siem Reap via a 5 hour bus or a one hour flight from Phnom Penh.
Consular requirement and Covid-19 information
All delegates who will be arriving at Siem Reap International airport, are advised as follows:
To carry a valid passport with a validity period of not less than six (6) months
To hold a valid return or onward ticket.
Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passport are exempted from entry Visa
Holders of ordinary/regular passports may seek a visa on arrival. Visa fee waiver will be provided to the holders of ordinary/regular passports, provided that their copy of passport and details are submitted to the organizer beforehand.
Visas are also available in advance through https://www.evisa.gov.kh/.
Covid-19 restrictions and measures have been lifted in Cambodia. So, there will be no Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test required. However, all participating delegates are required to present a certificate of having received full vaccination for COVID-19 to enter to the territory of Cambodia.
Delegates are advised to follow the health protocols of Cambodia (upon arrival and during stay in Cambodia).
All participants are recommended to purchase travel insurance of their own prior to departing to Cambodia. The host country will not cover any accidents that occurred.
Conference sessions will take place at the Sofitel Angkor located 15 minutes from the Siem Reap International Airport and 10 minutes from the temples of Angkor.
Nearby overflow hotels include the Regency Angkor Hotel and the Sokha Siem Reap Resort.
Siem Reap is the ASEAN City of Culture and the second-largest city in the country.
It was the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th-15th centuries, and is home to the temples of Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
