This Privacy Policy governs the use of the Expenses mobile application (hereafter referred to as "the Application") for Android devices. The Application provides a local financial ledger utility designed to track personal incomes and expenses manually.

1. Information Collection and Use

The Application is built with a strict offline first, client side architecture. It does not contain any backend server infrastructure, nor does it connect to any cloud databases or external remote networks.

• No Personal Data Collection: The Application does not require user registration, account creation, or login credentials. It does not collect, track, or harvest any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or device identifiers.

• No Network Transmission: Any transaction data, titles, amounts, notes, or categories entered into the Application remain strictly on your physical device. No financial metrics or behavioral patterns are transmitted over the internet or shared with any third party.

2. On-Device Storage (Room Database)

All financial records you log within the Application (including transaction titles, values, dates, descriptions, and category selections) are stored exclusively in a private, isolated SQLite database file sandboxed on your individual mobile device via the Android Room Persistence library.

• This data is completely isolated from other applications on your phone.

• Your data is entirely under your control and is never uploaded to any cloud storage managed by the developer.

3. Biometric Security and Authentication

The Application includes a local privacy toggle feature to conceal your account balances on the main dashboard layout. This feature utilizes Android’s native standard biometric authentication framework (BiometricPrompt) to confirm identity locally before restoring dashboard visibility.

• Absolute Privacy of Biometric Templates: The Application never requests, reads, processes, or stores your actual physical biometric data (such as fingerprint images or facial recognition templates).

• All cryptographic verification is handled strictly by the secure hardware layer of the Android operating system. The Application only receives a success or failure callback token from the system framework.

4. Local File Exports (CSV Generation)

The Application provides an option allowing you to compile your transaction history into a spreadsheet file (.csv) for personal records.

• This operation compiles data directly on device and places the transient file temporarily into your localized secure application cache directory (cacheDir).

• The file is only passed onto external applications (such as email clients or local system file sheets) when you explicitly trigger the system share interface manually.

5. User Data Control and Deletion Rights

Because all data resides natively on your hardware, you retain absolute authority over its lifecycle:

• Manual Purging: You can wipe 100% of your financial logs permanently at any time by executing the "Clear All Data" action inside the dropdown settings panel.

• App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the Application via standard Android system configuration settings immediately wipes the local sandboxed database directory, permanently destroying all records generated during use.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Application does not collect any personal information from any individuals, including children under the age of 13. Since it stores financial items purely on-device without connectivity, it complies with global privacy protection protocols.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to align with legal mandates or app updates. Any revisions will be reflected on this page by modifying the "Effective Date" at the top of the document. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any adjustments.
