We are very pleased to invite you to the National Conference on Advances in Sustainable Chemistry and Material Science-2022 (ASCMS-2022), organized by the Department of Chemistry, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, BTR, Assam, India during 29^th & 30^th April, 2022. The scientific session will consist of keynote lecture, invited talks, oral and poster presentations. ASCMS-2022 is focused mainly to provide a common platform to Students, Researchers, Academicians, Technologists and Scientists to exchange ideas and showcase the research findings in various domains of Sustainable Chemistry & Material Science, and this will provide a scope for further research and development.

About the University & Department

Bodoland University was established by Bodoland University Act 2009, passed in the Assam legislative Assembly. The present Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University to a full-fledged state University as per the provision of the Act. The setting-up of the new university comes as a fulfilment of the dreams of the people of entire lower Assam, irrespective of caste, creed or economic status. Bodoland University aspires to be a leading public university that can indoctrinate moral values, scientific temper, socio-cultural, economic and political leadership qualities into its students in order to meet the regional, national and global challenges. As of now, the University has 17 postgraduate departments and more than 50 affiliated colleges and institutes.

Department of Chemistry at Bodoland University was established in 2014, since then it is offering M.Sc. course in Chemistry. The department has also started the Ph.D. program from 2018 and many research scholars are doing research work leading to Ph.D. degree. Currently, some of our passed out students are pursuing their PhD at different Institutions and Universities like IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, NEIST (Jorhat), NEHU (Shillong), Gauhati University and Bodoland University.
