School Rules
School Rules
This year, as a faculty and staff, we have simplified our handbook policies, rules, and procedures into four "school rules." We will take time each day to discuss these rules and also the consequences that go with these rules. The rules are here to ensure that every student has the opportunity to a fair, safe, and kind learning environment.
School Rules:
Listen and follow directions.
Raise your hand before speaking or leaving your seat.
Respect your classmates and your teachers.
Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Consequences:
Warning
This is simple as, "You broke a rule and this is your warning."
Time-out
This is not to exclude, isolate, or humiliate. It is temporary revoking of membership from class and/or group activity.
Letter home or contact parent
We will do our best to communicate at pick-up and if that is not possible, we will be sure to either email or call home.
If this continues, a writing assigment may be assigned to the student. The student is expected to complete the assignment at home and turn it in the next afternoon.
