Our mission is to bring all people into the fullness of life through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We want to be a community of believers who love McKinney and love Jesus. We want to see the unchurched brought into the family of God so that he might invigorate every aspect of their lives and give them a place in his Kingdom forever. We want our community to know who we are and that we love them and eventually send forth people to plant more churches in Collin County.
Word and Sacrament:
The way God makes us more like himself is through his Word in the Bible and his presence through the sacraments. Like Christians have always done, we worship God and draw near to him through the means he has given us. His Word is our highest authority and the sacraments give us grace to live a Christian life.
Prayer:
We cannot accomplish anything unless we pray to God who gives good gifts and listens to his children. We believe that prayer is effective and is the heart of the spiritual life.
Multiplication:
Love wants to love more. We desire to see more and more people meet Jesus and learn to wholly follow him. This means that it is the privilege of all Christians to bring new people into God’s family and walk alongside them as they learn to follow him. We multiply everything we do so that more and more people can worship Jesus.
Hospitality:
This means treating strangers like family. We have been so richly blessed by God in various ways and we want to share all those blessings with the people we encounter. We are committed to the well-being of other people.
My name is Seth Williamson and I am humbled to be part of what God is doing here in McKinney, TX. I grew up in Virginia but moved to Texas six years ago. I am married to my lovely and talented wife Shannon and we have one daughter named Emma. I love to cook, fish, travel, and entertain guests. God called me into ministry when I was 15 years old and immediately gave me a passion for bringing the unchurched into God’s family. I have spent many years studying the Bible and Theology at places like Liberty University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Trinity School for Ministry. We have diligently prepared to plant a new church that is capable of reaching the unchurched while glorifying God and we are so excited to see what God will do!
We chose McKinney for a number of reasons. The main reason is because the first time I visited this city I felt a connection to it. In many ways it reminded me of home. The Holy Spirit was at work. Soon I discovered that the facts on the ground matched my feeling. McKinney is the 4th fastest growing city in America. People from all over the world are moving here for a better life and we hope to bring them into the best life through a relationship with Jesus. Half the county considers itself non-religious but we know from many studies that most Americans still see the Church as a positive good for the world and are open to talking about faith and spirituality.
