Work Experience of CA. Amit Gupta

In Birla group, I was Heading the Governance, Risk & Compliance Function for Avtec Limited. I was responsible for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Audits & Investigations, Compliances, Internal Controls, preparation and review of SOPs, Business Processes & Policies. Reporting to Audit Committee, Promoter on these matters.

In Zenica Group, I was Heading the Finance & Accounts for Porsche Business initially and later on for whole group (Turnover around INR 800-900 Crores), with around 35-38 people reporting directly/Indirectly to myself. As part of my profile here I was Handling Strategic decision making, Incentive & Business Planning (including Budgeting activities), Cash flow & Financing Activities, Accounting, Reporting’s to Promoters & Brands, Audits (Bank/ Brand/ Internal/ Statutory/ Tax etc.), Taxation.

In Actis (London based Private Equity), as part of Reporting Team was handling Fund Accounting of $1.4 billion Global Fund, Preparing Investor reporting (as per IPEV guidelines) and addressing Investor Queries, Preparation of Financial Statements in US GAAP & UK GAAP. Also responsible for day-to-day fund activities such as preparation of cash flows, draw down from the investors, timely movement of cash for investments, liaising with the SPV administrators, monitoring and analysing the deal costs etc.

In Ernst & Young, have performed Statutory, Tax, Stock Audits and various certifications (under RBI, FEMA, SEBI, Company Law etc.) for big multinationals and Indian Groups in the field of Automobile, Healthcare, Manufacturing. Have executed Consolidation Assignments, Audited the compliance of Sarbanes Oxley’s Act for Companies Listed with SEC (US), GAAP conversions (Local GAAP to IFRS, IFRS to I GAAP and vice-a-versa). Was promoted on Fast Track to Assistant Manager in span of 1.5 years.
