ASBURY MEDIA serves a diverse client base ranging from major and indie labels to local bands  and some of the biggest names in the music  business.  Our foremost concern is delivering the utmost sound quality that audio technology and knowledge can deliver.  Let's meet the team:

Andy Bova - Audio & Mastering Engineer has been involved with Asbury Media since 2007He is an active musician, music teacher and the owner/operator of Simple Sound Studio in Oceanport where he has engineered and co-produced many prominent local artists such as his band Church and State (with Jon Stewart), Rick Barry, Lowlight, No Wine For Kittens, and Dentist among others.

Colie Brice - Director of Studio Operations - Colie has been with Asbury Media since 2007.  Previously he has worked in music or audio oriented positions at AERIA Records (Fontana Distribution), Classic Records (Acoustic Sounds), Mercer County College, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (Music Direct), and PolyGram (Universal).  He is also a seriously active working musician who plays many local solo gigs and has been in quite a variety of prominent Asbury Park based bands over the years.  He is also an experienced recording artist who is deeply empathetic and committed towards client objectives and concerns.  Here is his partial discography.  More information about Colie is available here.

Tim Pannella - Audio & Mastering Engineer  has enjoyed a prolific career as an audio engineer, musician and educator.  Cutting his teeth and many records in some of NYC's top studios, Tim was heavily involved with Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury Park from the beginning and worked closely with famed architect and acoustician John  Storyk to bring the facility to life.  He has worked with a diverse array of artists such as Ray LaMontagne, Brian Fallon, The Bouncing Souls, The Front Bottoms, The Parlor Mob, Brigades, The Haunting, Nicole Atkins, Beach Slang, Westbound Train, and members of Wilco, Paramore, Sum41, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Bad Religion, and Minor Threat to name a few.   He is currently a faculty member at the OCVTS Grunnin Performing Arts Academy in Toms River, NJ where he leads the Audio Technology program.

James  Sleeman - Dolby Atmos & Apple Spatial Audio Engineer -  James Sleeman is a young audio engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Neptune, NJ.  His main focus is on recording, mixing, and mastering of music to the highest quality. Recently he dove into the new world of mixing music for Dolby Atmos and Apple Spatial Audio.  Highlights this far have included assisting Steve Greenwell with the Atmos mixes for Joss Stone’s Christmas album “Merry Christmas, Love”.  James also edits podcasts for Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and NCCAkron - two esteemed institutions in the Performing Arts world of Dance.  Here is a discography  link highlighting some of the projects James has worked on.

Tom Ruff - Owner and Founder of ASBURY MEDIA.  Tom is a three time GRAMMY Award  winning mastering  engineer.  He founded ASBURY MEDIA in 2006 and has previously held senior positions at Sony Music, PolyGram (Universal), and  Mercenary Productions.  Here is a discography link highlighting some of the incredible projects that Tom has worked on.
