Following the theme of SocScAI: Social Science + AI, we welcome original research contributions from multiple social science disciplines submissions;
(1) Legal & Governance Perspectives on AI, probing fair regulatory frameworks
(2) Psychological & Organizational Perspectives, exploring human-AI dynamics
(3) Business Strategy & Microeconomics, assessing economic disruptions and equity
(4) International Political Economy, addressing geopolitical hierarchies
(5) Education for/with/by AI, focusing on literacy and ethics
(6) Open track

Submission Deadline: 15 July, 2026 (earlier submissions are highly encouraged)
Notification of Results: Rolling basis until 30 July, 2026
Confirmation of Attendance and Presentation Materials: To be submitted by 10 September, 2026
Conference Dates: 21-22 September, 2026
Submission Criteria:
All proposals must include a title and an Extended Abstract with a minimum of 500-1000 words, or you may submit a working paper.
The abstract should clearly state the research question, describe the methodological approach, summarize the research findings, and explain their relevance to this symposium.
Submissions (either an abstract or a working paper) should be original and not previously published works.
For coordination purposes, please ensure that the submitter is also the presenter.
Presentation Format:
Presentations will generally be 15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A. A total of 20 minutes will be allocated to each presenter.
Accepted presenters will be contacted and must submit their presentation slides by 10 September, 2026.
Selected presenters must be able to attend the full conference in person from 21 - 22 September, 2026.
Travel to Kuala Lumpur will be at the presenter’s own expense, as the conference does not provide funding for travel.
On-campus accommodation at the Asia School of Business Residences (ASBR) will be covered for one presenter per submission. If there are two presenting authors, accommodation will be provided for the first author only, and any additional presenters must arrange their own accommodation.
