Membership of the African Society for Biomathematics (ASB)

Regular Membership
Regular membership is open to individuals who hold a professional degree and are actively engaged in biomathematics or related fields.
Regular members:
Receive discounted registration fees for ASB conferences and workshops;
Are eligible to hold elective office within ASB;
Have voting rights in ASB elections and at the Annual General Assembly;
May serve on ASB committees to help shape the society’s initiatives;
Are eligible to apply for ASB conference or meeting grants if the grants available;
Can be nominated for ASB awards, unless serving on the Awards Committee;
To enjoy these benefits, regular members must remain in good standing with their membership dues.
Student Membership
Student membership is available to individuals pursuing a degree in mathematics, biology, or a related scientific field. Undergraduate students may hold student membership for up to four years, while graduate students may retain student membership for up to five years.
Student members:
Receive discounted registration fees for ASB conferences and workshops;
Are eligible to apply for student travel awards to support conference participation if the awards are available.
Are eligible for ASB awards recognizing excellence in biomathematics research;
To access these benefits, student members must remain in good standing with their membership dues.
