The career that I have chosen to pursue is engineering. I chose this career because, from a young age, I have always liked to help my little brothers build things , whether it was robots, car tracks, or whatever other toys he wanted. Over time, I started to not only like building things for them, but I found my own interest in building things for myself. It felt like something that I could see myself doing forever; I never got bored of it. That is when I decided that I could see myself being an engineer and being truly happy with it.
I believe my knowledge of science and math, along with my other technical skills, will significantly contribute to my success in this career. This program represents my biggest step toward achieving my professional goals. Through it, I have learned that understanding the history behind things plays an important role, having proper grammar is essential, and knowing how to think on the spot will all help me excel in my future career.
I have not engaged in any activities that will specifically help with my career choice, but there are some key points that can be learned from an activity. I have not been employed, but I did start my own business at some point, and it does show a lot in your character and how you can work well under certain circumstances.
I do not think I will join the military, and that's because I have no interest in it . If I was to join, it would only be for benefits. I will not attend a community college because it is not my dream or goal to attend one. I will attend a four-year college or university because that's always what I wanted to push myself for. Later on in life, if I still have interest in cosmetology, I may go to a trade school. I may work as an apprentice because it can be a useful way to show my flexibility and gain resourceful information. My main goal is not to head straight into the workforce; I want to further pursue my education and gain more non-work experience.
I honestly don't know how I will affect the community after I obtain my goal. That would be a question that would be answered after I have done so, but I do wish to have a great positive impact on my future community or society. No matter the circumstances, I want to show my effort and time, and show it in a positive way and inspire others. That's the impact I want to have.
