PLAYSTYLE
Harass the opponent with a constant string of obnoxious tools, while sealing their attacks.
Rohan’s gameplan is fueled by his ability to constantly refill his meter. Knowing this, he can assault the opponent constantly with annoying, high priority tools. While he is doing this, he is comfortable in his knowledge that he can use meter at anytime for safety, only to build it back just as quick. His main mode is S-ON because he can only do combos in that mode. In S-ON his 2L has almost no pushback, allowing him to harass with constant 2Ls, while mixing in throws and high priority, ambiguous jump attacks.. From there, he can combo into moves that gain a great deal of meter. His S-OFF is unique in that instead of normals, he has close range projectiles that seal away the opponent’s corresponding button. This forces the opponent to be patient as they have to wait to heal before they can play normally again. While he can’t really combo in this mode, he has access to fast projectiles, an invincible anti-air, and a quick command throw. It’s important to learn how to abuse this mode, as the seals can be used to bait failed attacks, causing players who lack patience to rapidly crumble before him. Lastly, his GHA will seal ALL attacks, allowing Rohan to go hog wild on offense.
Rohan can be hard for beginners to wrap their minds around, largely due to his strange S-OFF. This means when the opponent starts doing pressure, beginner Rohans may have trouble figuring out what to do. Furthermore, the mind games and traps involving his seals can require a bit of daring that inexperienced players lack. Rohan’s damage outside of a difficult taunt combo is on the low side, meaning he’ll have to use many good ideas to finish the opponent off. That being said, the constant meter gain allows Rohan to never slow down, and play with as much disrespect as he wants.
