RECOGNITION OF HEATHER EDMUNDS REED'S OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE STUDENT BODY

To all those who shall see these presents, greetings: 

WHEREAS, Heather Reed has served with distinction as the Co-Director of the International Programs Office, dedicating herself to the success and well-being of Augustana University’s international student community; and 

WHEREAS, for five years, she has provided unwavering support to students from across the world, guiding them through complex visa regulations, cultural transitions, and the many challenges of studying far from home; and 

WHEREAS, her service extends beyond international students, as she has offered a welcoming presence to domestic students struggling to find a sense of home at Augustana; and 

WHEREAS, she has worked closely with successive administrations of the Augustana Student Association, serving as a trusted advisor, connecting student leaders to vital resources, and selflessly taking on additional responsibilities beyond the scope of her role; and 

WHEREAS, her dedication does not end at graduation, as she continues to assist alumni navigating immigration challenges and career transitions; 

NOW, THEREFORE, through the authority vested in us as the President and Vice President of the Augustana Student Association, and in recognition of Heather’s extraordinary commitment, deep compassion, and invaluable contributions to the Augustana community, 

HEATHER REED IS HEREBY AWARDED THE ASA PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT’S HONOR FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE STUDENT BODY. 

This honor will be presented at the Inaugural Mid-Year Update on the Eighteenth day of February in the year of Two Thousand Twenty-Five.
