We are an all-girls team from Montreal participating in STEM Racing (formerly F1 in schools).
We strive to inspire young girls to pursue STEM careers while spotlighting the women shaping the industry.
Coming from a unique program in an all-girls school, we aspire to represent the minority in this male-dominated sport. The F1 bug was like a plague in our class, we were constantly wondering who would fall victim to this obsession and a year later, we are trying to pursue this interest that has swept our whole friend group. Our project-based curriculum has taught us that as girls, anything is possible if you have enough ambition, time management skills and imagination. Before we knew it, this subject that used to be nothing more than a conversation starter had snowballed into a group passion project. This love for Formula 1 has brought us together for our last 2 years attending secondary school, but we still have a long way to go… Countless nights of research and memorable meetings during lunch hours. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to learning new, lifelong skills through this project.
So follow us on this thrilling adventure in hopes that we can write the ending of ASAP’s story together…
